The property is 19 kilometers (11.8mi) wide at its widest point and has just over 16 kilometers (10 mi) of mainland oceanfront due west of Ambergris Cay. The property constitutes one of the largest privately owned blocks of land in the country
The Balam Jungle Estates is legally referred to as the Corozal Timber Lands and are ALL THOSE pieces or parcels of land owned by Corozal Timber Company Limited which are situated in the Orange Walk and Corozal Districts of Belize and which were lately registered in accordance with the provisions of the Registered Land Act (Chapter 194 of the Laws of Belize) with the following particulars found within the Registration Section referred to as Shipstern/Bulkhead –
